A great camera with the features I need. 10 megapixels, 12times zoom, 2.7inch LCD screen. It takes great still photos and does a good job with short movies too. I bought it just a few days before I flew out to Japan, November 2008. I found it easy to carry, quick to bring into action, and very easy to handle and operate, even in a hurry like grabbing photos shooting out from the moving train. It is very comfortable to the hands and works just as hapily on the tripod for the long exposure night shots.
Generally I will shoot at 3megapixels format unless there is some particular reason to go for the larger formats. At present I have 2 SD Cards for storage, 4G and 2G. I used up the 4G in Japan and had to buy the 2G the night before I left so that I would have the capacity to take pictures on the return journey.

Other cameras: Another camera that has taken some of these photos is the FujiFilm FinePix S5700 owned by my daughter. This doesn't have quite the same features as mine but it is quicker to get and stay in focus. Oddly, it doesn't seem to run with rechargable batteries though mine is more than happy to use them.
