My goodies arrived today by the Australia Post Courier. They were sent from Japan on Wednesday 13th and arrived here today Thursday 21st. That's not too bad for surface post rates. This is the box showing quite adequate packing. This picture shows the goodies spread out. It was just like Christmas Morning all over again seeing just what has turned up. It was lots of fun opening boxes and trying to follow constructuion diagrams written in Japanese charaters ;)
After getting the track out on the module I could work out what layout was feasible and this is what I have decided to do. The turnout/switch will be at the edge, there will only be the Maintenance of Way vehicles, the MoW building and the Station store building. The Tomix platforms will be fitted either side of the double tracks to the opposite end of the turnout/switch. If this was a proper MoW Depot then the platforms would only be used by workers so only the basic facilities are required. This pic shows where I will be joining on my PECO Flexitrack to make the full Mainline and to make the trackage for within the MoW Depot. I just have to get some 3mm cork underlay to bring the track up to the right height to mate with the KATO track.
